Why Infographics Work
Posted on August 23, 2013 by Linda Fanaras
We’re sure you’ve stumbled upon more and more infographics in your internet searches. From social media to blogs and articles, infographics are just about everywhere these days. To understand this, you’ll need to understand why infographics work.
Infographic search volumes have increased over 800% in the last two years. That’s an incredible leap. So what’s the big deal anyways?
Check out why infographics work:
- They’re easy to understand. The simple layout of infographics makes statistics and data easy to digest, something we can all appreciate. Infographics also pull only the best data and leave behind the fluff.
- They’re attention grabbers. Infographics are still a fairly novel form of obtaining information, so a catchy headline and some entertaining graphics can grab our attention quicker than a traditional article.
- They’re shareable. Infographics are easily shareable across a multitude of platforms from Facebook to Pinterest or email to social bookmarking. Their shareability poses a great opportunity to go viral.
