As a WOSB certified business, Millennium receives greater access to federal contracting opportunities. Contracting officers of the SBA’s WOSB Federal Contract Program are able to reserve specific contracts for businesses that are WOSB or economically-disadvantaged women-owned small business (EDWOSB) certified. This also works to assist federal agencies in awarding five percent of federal contracting dollars to WOSBs in order to achieve existing statutory goals. Millennium is also certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Center for Women & Enterprise, the WBENC’s New England regional partner organization. Millennium’s certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise attests that Millennium is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman. Linda Fanaras of Concord founded Millennium in 1996 and continues to serve as the firm’s president.
